Whispering Sands plot

A Bedouin guides a Canadian traveler of Arab descent through the desert in his car. She is looking for a nameless waterfall, but otherwise she reveals nothing about the purpose of her journey. Her guide is a lot more talkative; while they visit the places from his childhood along the way, he strings together personal memories and stories. Abandoned or half-collapsed buildings turn out to be the only tangible remnants of the world he so vividly evokes in the imagination.
