Vyzov plot
Cosmonaut Oleg Ivanov loses consciousness while in space. Doctors on Earth declare that he needs urgent medical attention and conclude that heart surgery must be performed immediately on the International Space Station. Otherwise, Ivanov will almost certainly die during the return to Earth. Heart surgeon Zhenya Belyaeva, who does not have time to raise her teenage daughter, is sent into space to perform the world's first operation in zero gravity.
