Victory plot

Axel Heyst lives in Surabaya in a hotel run by racist Schomberg in 1913. A women's orchestra plays every night and conductor San Giacomo plans to sell one of the women to Schomberg. She asks for Heyst's help and together they flee to an island, while Schomberg sends two men to get her back.
