Mizu no Naka no Hachigatsu plot

New student Izumi is well on her way to become a diving champion. Time freezes on the edge of the diving board and the water turns to stone for a moment. Seconds later she falls awkwardly into the water; it is at that moment that a meteorite is spotted. When she wakes up in the hospital, the island on which she lives is in great panic; an exceptional drought and a mysterious epidemic strikes the city, turning organs to stone.
