Reasonable film about two girlfriends, one of whom gets into a relationship with a boy without the other knowing about it. The film has little else to say and the story flows smoothly. It does look easy, especially because of the pleasant atmosphere and the fine cast. A small 3.0 stars.

A nice opener from Naomi Foner.
First of all, the storylines of the love triangle and the father's adultery are well constructed and run parallel to each other. Lilly's behavior towards her father changes according to her own experiences. At the end of the film, some conclusions about the previously listed themes are thrown around. Finally, the intellect piece is also well substantiated with symbolism, camera positioning and use of color.
There were 2 things that bothered me. First, we have the terrible acting David/terrible part and the way Gerri could so fleetingly leave her father's death behind her, but maybe Naomi did this on purpose to keep to the essence of the story. A regrettable decision in my opinion. Otherwise it was a 3.5*, but now I keep it at a 3.0*

Two good friends are in love with the same boy. That is quite a cliché subject that calls for a cliché film. But you don't have to. There are more films with a predictable and common subject and the associated pitfalls, but they still turn out to be surprisingly good. And that's what I hope for with this film. But alas, in vain. This film does not avoid the pitfalls. Although it still seems to be building up nicely. But that is short-lived. This is a movie you will soon forget. Although afterwards it is also a mystery to me why I had selected this film to see in the first place.
