Une Manche et la Belle plot
Betty Farnwell, a wealthy widow living in Nice, decides to marry Philippe. He is handsome but only interested in himself. Shortly after they get married, he meets the beautiful young Eva, Betty's niece, and falls in love with her. They become lovers, but the problem is that she is as calculated as he is. She tells him that she will marry a rich man. Philippe cannot accept this prospect and asks her to help murder his own wife together.
