Une Jeune Fille plot
The teenage Chantal one day loses her sick mother, her only confidante. Her death leaves Chantal, the family's sole breadwinner, alone with her father, a man who is more interested in her life than caring for her. Due to the untenable situation at home, Chantal flees the gloomy apartment on the edge of the highway and leaves for the rugged, isolated Gaspe peninsula. While wandering, she meets Serge, a quiet man in his thirties who struggles to keep his farm, despite his sister's repeated attempts to sell it. Reunited by circumstances, the two loners try to create a home together.
