Un Si Joli Village... plot
Bertin (Victor Lanoux) accidentally kills his wife in an argument. He owns a factory where most of the people of the village work. He therefore fears a judicial inquiry and for his status in relation to the people and hides the body. He tells everyone that his wife has left him. Everyone believes him until one day the body is found.
