Tranvía a la Malvarrosa plot

Young Manuel (Liberto Rabal) wants to become a writer, but his father refuses to do so and sends him to Valencia to study law. There he makes new friends and gets to know the girls of pleasure. One day he sees the girl of his dreams in a tram and follows her to the beach of Malvarrosa. Later he is completely absorbed in student life. He meets La China, a prostitute who initiates him into love. But he cannot forget the girl from the tram.
