Topsy and Eva plot

Little Negress Topsy is put up for sale by Simon Leegree at an auction at George Shelby's estate. When no one bids, Eva St. Claire can get Topsy for next to nothing. Topsy, Uncle Tom, and other slaves are then handed over to Aunt Ophelia for re-education and cleaning. When St. Claire is unable to pay his debts to Leegree, he demands his property back. While Leegree and Shelby are engaged in a frantic battle, Topsy manages to escape.
