Tillie plot

Tillie is a lively girl growing up on a farm. When an old woman dies, she leaves all her money to Tillie. She can only get this when she converts to a strict faith. If she doesn't, the money will go to someone else. The inhabitants of the village are now doing everything they can to ensure that Tillie does not find out about the conditions, in the hope that they can receive the money themselves.
