Tianming plot

Ling Ling is a girl from a fishing village who leaves for Shanghai to visit her cousin. But Shanghai is not what she imagined. She is raped and forced into prostitution. Later in life, however, she manages to work her way up into higher social circles, and is hopelessly waiting for the return of a sailor she once loved.
