Three Days in August plot

"Everything is in the right place, except the truth."

Artist Shannon invites her whole family for a weekend getaway to a ranch. Shannon plans to paint a family portrait there. Shannon, who is herself adopted, has also invited her biological mother and her husband. During the weekend, Shannon and her family experience fun, but also less fun things together. Meanwhile, Shannon tries to empathize with the decision her birth mother made.
