While on a business trip, Jimmy Decker, who is engaged to his employer's daughter, has time for a romance with small-town church organist Marion Cullen. Marion follows Jimmy to New York to make a fresh start, but she finds out about Jimmy's engagement. With her attractive appearance and talent, Marion finds a job with theater producer Ford Humphries. Can Marion resist her employer, compete with now-married Jimmy, marry her sincere admirer Tony Travers, or must she become a convinced bon vivant?
