Mike has recently returned from Iraq and is quietly battling post-traumatic stress disorder. When his brother, Danny, comes by to check on him, Danny steals a handful of his brother's pills to give them to his girlfriend, Kayla, at a party later that night. In addition to Danny, however, a number of boys administer drugs to Kayla, causing her to collapse and end up in a coma. The police investigation that follows is characterized by lies and deception.
