The Short History of the Long Road plot

Teenager Nola has no permanent home, but feels comfortable wherever she goes. Her only constant in life is her father Clint with whom she crosses the US in a campervan. They earn money by hopping from one strange job to another so that their independence is guaranteed. One day, however, Nola finds herself alone.
