"Why Did Mamie Stover Have to Leave San Francisco?"
Mamie Stover, a lady of good morals, leaves San Francisco just as the Second World War is breaking out in all its fury. She lands in Hawaii, where she hopes to start a new life. Life does indeed smile at her again when she falls in love with a sympathetic writer. However, the emerging war and her past life cast a shadow on her budding love. However, Mamie cannot completely free herself from her past and returns to former habits and lifestyle.
