The Pardon plot

"In the end, only one thing can save her."

Based on the true story of Toni Jo Henry (Jaime King), the first and only woman ever executed in Louisiana. The 24-year-old is accused of murdering a man on Valentine's Day in 1940. This fact, together with her unheard of beauty, makes her a celebrity in sensational journalism when she is actually sentenced to death. In an attempt to make her fate more acceptable, she flees into spirituality.
