The Marriage Clause plot

"THE SHOW YOU WILL NEVER FORGET"

Broadway impresario Barry Townsend takes it upon himself to star aspiring actress Sylvia Jordan. Barry's rival, the producer Max Ravenal, manages to steal Sylvia from him and she signs a three-year contract with him. But there is a hitch: the contract has a marriage clause. Sylvia is not allowed to marry for three years, Barry, who feels betrayed and has feelings for Silvia, withdraws from show business. However, Sylvia then finds herself in a personal and professional malaise.
