The Man plot
"It took an accident to make this man President of the United States. What they do to him now won't be an accident."
When the President and Speaker of the House are killed in a building collapse and the Vice President resigns because of his age and illness, temporary Senate President Douglas Dilman suddenly becomes the first black man in the government building. From that day until the next election, it is a real challenge for him to prove his qualities as a politician and leader.
