The King Is Alive plot
"As the sand shifts... madness nears."
In the desert of Namibia, a coach driver gets lost and runs out of fuel. The passengers find water, food and shelter in an abandoned mine, where they try to attract the attention of planes with a campfire in the evening. To combat boredom, one of them suggests performing Shakespeare's play King Lear. With nothing better to do, the stranded travelers begin their rehearsals. Tensions are slowly rising and under the hot desert sun it becomes difficult for some of them to distinguish the line between reality and fiction.
