The Forgiveness of Blood plot
The countryside of Albania. Rudina and Nik are brother and sister. They both have an ordinary life: Rudina is a good student and Nik is very popular. Nik has recently fallen in love with one of his fellow students. Their father runs a bread delivery service and takes care of the family. Every now and then he takes a shortcut over the neighbours' property, but they are not happy with it, even though the property used to belong to Rudina and Nik's family. One day the conflict escalates and the neighbors are murdered by Rudina and Nik's father and uncle. The uncle is arrested by the police and the father goes into hiding. Soon they want to take blood revenge on the family, forcing them to stay inside. Only the women of the family are allowed to leave the house, so Rudina has to drop out of school and take over her father's job.
