The Fighter plot

After her father's death, Dey Shevlin takes on Caleb Conover, a railroad president. His enemy Jimmy Blacardo incites country club officials to challenge his right to be a member of the organization. Dey convinces him to fight back, and he defeats his accusers. Newspapers then expose a scandal involving the shady dealings of the late Tom Shevlin, and although Conover takes the blame, Dey accuses him of using her father as a shield.
