The Fighter plot

Vietnam veteran Merle Banks is a janitor and works for a very low salary. In fact, the salary is so low that he and his wife Rindy barely have enough to survive. When Merle hears that a big amateur boxing match is being held, he decides to register as a participant, in the hopes of earning money that way.
