The Crude Oasis plot

"Somewhere between desire and destiny lies the ultimate risk."

Karen Webb is a lonely Kansas housewife who gets little attention from her husband. One day, when she makes a shocking discovery about her husband, she decides to commit suicide by means of carbon monoxide poisoning. When this fails, however, she is discouraged and depressed, until one day she meets Harley Underwood, who quickly falls in love with her.
