The Cay plot

Young Phillip (Alfred Lutter III) lives with his mother (Gretchen Corbett) in Curaçao during World War II. They decide to flee the war by taking a ship to Virginia. After a torpedo attack, Phillip is separated from his mother and loses consciousness. When he regains consciousness, he is on a raft with Timothy (James Earl Jones) and his cat. However, the attack left Phillip blind. After floating around for a long time, they reach a desert island where they have to survive.
