The Bond Boy plot

"Plot summaryAdd synopsis Taglines The splendid equal of "Tol'able David" in drama, power and in every way. A drama of a southern boy too young to realize, too old to forget. He had saved others and yet could not save himself."

John Newbolt (Richard Barthelmess) works with farmer Isom Chase (Charles Hill Mailes) to keep his mother out of the poorhouse. But Chase is a cruel boss, who even mistreats his own wife Ollie (Mary Thurman). To escape the situation, Ollie wants to run off with a traveling salesman. Because of his religious beliefs, John tries to talk this plan out of her mind. The two are discovered by Chase, who suspects them of plotting against him.
