The Big Time plot

"It was the beginning of television. And they put it all on the line to get it on the air."

The film is set in Manhattan in 1948. A group of people have to make a success of the unpopular 'Empire Network'. This group includes a progressive director, a naive young woman, an idealistic programmer and of course the president: a scientist with an unsupportive bride.
