The Argyle Secrets plot
"International intrigue... told in terms of treachery!"
Leading investigative journalist Allen Pierce, who is in hospital in Washington, tells journalist Harry Mitchell about his book 'The Argyle Album'. This book contains a list of people who were traitors and war profiteers during World War II. When Pierce is murdered, Mitchell is unfairly blamed for this murder. He now has to flee from the police and from an international criminal gang, who want to use Pierce's book for blackmail.
