Temptation Harbour plot

"Conscience does make cowards of us all."

A boat coming from Newhaven arrives in Dieppe at the beginning of the night. Harbor guard Bert Mallison (Robert Newton) spots a man who knocks another man down and throws it into the water along with a suitcase. Secretly, Mallison goes after the suitcase and finds a fortune in British pounds. Then he is caught by a police inspector from London (who was also on the boat).
