Tarnished Reputations plot

While visiting a small village, the popular young artist Robert Williams meets the innocent country girl Helen Sanderson and, captivated by her beauty, seduces her to pose for him. A strong attraction develops between them, but just as the portrait is finished, Robert is summoned back to the city. Helen hears nothing from him again, and Robert's neglect draws her to the city, where she is falsely sent to a reformatory.
