"The drive was half the journey"

Ed Reece has been told by the doctor that he has only a short time to live. He insists on dying in the bed in which he was born. He would have to make a journey of thousands of kilometers for this. Because his family disagrees and doesn't want to help him, he enlists the help of his rejected son Larry. He goes on a journey with him, back to his past and that of his son.
