Surprise, Surprise plot
David, a boastful 16-year-old boy, suddenly stands on the doorstep of a remote and rich-looking house in Hollywood Hills. He discovers that his famous father (a TV star) has a secret relationship with a much younger former dancer, now confined to a wheelchair. The otherwise seemingly idyllic and desirable life of the two seems to have changed forever. David also turns out to hate gays. Ultimately, with the help of their unconventional family, the three men are forced to realize the importance of family and find a way to live together.
