Sunny in the Dark plot

"Our greatest desire is to be known."

Jonah Bock is a psychologist with a private practice for couples counseling and family support. When Jonah moves to a new loft, he thinks he has finally found a place where he can retreat and isolate himself from the hectic world. Jonah, however, doesn't realize that homeless Sunny lives in the crawl space above his loft. At night Sunny sleeps there and during Jonah's working hours she lives in his house, doing everything she can to leave no traces and not to betray her presence.
