Impressive and eerie

Gray dark tones and a subdued soundtrack support the interpretation of this tragic history. You are taken into the story in a calm way and the whole setting gave me a feeling of powerlessness and claustrophobia.

Terrible that this could have happened, or still happened, Who knows. This must have been hell for both Stefano and the family. Police brutality, bureaucracy and the laxity of the medics involved. Nasty. Good that this has finally been addressed.

I was a bit taken aback and misled by the opinions here about the film. Beware, very bad what happened to Stefano, no doubt. Also immediately indicates that a beating in real life cannot be compared to what you often see in fiction. So did I forget something...

I had imagined it worse in the sense that I assumed it wouldn't have been just that one time, threats would be made or actual cries for help wouldn't be heard in prison. That last one worked out. He was heard, but often refused help himself or retracted his statements. Of course it is harrowing to see Stefano suffer. And not all Carabinieri were like that crap either. The unemotional bureaucratic rule that his parents couldn't see him was aggravating, but I didn't find that so unbelievable. This isolation can also be experienced as psychologically very heavy. I found Stefano very unstable and emotionally disorganized. Partly because of his fickle attitude.

Well done Borghi. Desperation was strong. I also found the credits striking because of the fact that so many people die in captivity. And perhaps not only in Italy in a similar country? Hovering between 3.5* and 4.0*.

Excellent film in which a man is arrested for drug possession. A harrowing true story about the failure of the system. Despite a probing role by Alessandro Borghi, you do not fully understand the main character. Raw footage and a number of poignant moments towards the end.
