Sarajevo, June 28, 2014. At the Hotel Europa, manager Omer prepares for the arrival of a delegation of diplomats. On the centenary of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which led to the outbreak of World War I, a call for peace and understanding must be launched from this hotel. But the staff has other concerns; they haven't been paid in months and have planned a strike. Hatidza from the laundry is chosen as the strike leader, although her daughter Lamija from the reception is vehemently against the strike.
