In the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, Catalan boys sat in circles under the ruins and told stories, called "Aventis". An "Aventis" is told in a flashback in this film. In the mid-1980s, 45 years after the Aventis years, a doctor and a nurse nun (who grew up together and are now hospital staff) identify the corpse of one of Aventis' most important characters. from their childhood.
