"IN MY ARMS I KNOW HE'LL BE ABLE TO FORGET!"

Burt served in the Marines during World War II, but now he spends his days in a sanatorium for mental patients. His experiences in the South Pacific have left Burt mentally ill, terrified of clouds and rain during storms. Burt's friend Stella hopes his sister Betty and brother-in-law Lou Hopke will help him recover. But because of their young children, Betty and Lou are afraid to invite Burt to live with them. Can Burt be helped and can he start a new life outside the sanitarium?
