Naomi is a mother of two who is in a marriage that is more convenient than romantic. She has also put aside her artistic and activist expressions. Years ago, she dated Kris, who dumped her without explanation. When they run into each other again, Naomi discovers that Kris is now a trans woman. They go out for dinner to catch up on their complicated lives, relationships and Kris' transition. Both women get the feeling during the reunion that their past relationship could have ended in a better way.
