Henry Halevy's daughter Bobby marries the idealist and inventor Rims Rosson, who works at Henry's company. Feeling that his father-in-law arranged his marriage, Rims does his best to be seen as a failure by him. When Rims and Bobby are on the brink of divorce, they learn that material wealth isn't the only barometer of success in life.
