"ON THE SCREEN AT LAST! DESTINED FOR GREATNESS!"

After her mother's death, the vivacious Clio Dulaine returns to her hometown of New Orleans to exact revenge on her father's wife's family. Meanwhile, she also plans to marry a rich man, in order to gain the status her mother never had. However, she falls in love with the gambler Clint Maroon, who is about to leave New Orleans.
