Sanmon Yakusha plot
Taiji Tonoyama was a striking figure in the Japanese film world for thirty years. This man with an insatiable lust for women and alcohol has starred in more than 250 films, mostly in character and supporting roles. Born in 1915 in Ginza, he was never as popular as an actor as he was with the women. This dramatized portrait of Tonoyama shows how he meets 17-year-old Kimie in 1951. Although Tonoyama is married (his wife Asako is in Kamakura), he begins an affair with Kimie. Although he realizes that this relationship is going to hurt everyone, he continues it anyway.
