Saint Amour plot

It is 1969. Twenty-seven-year-old Father Louis lives in a convent and his priesthood is a calling to him. However, when his friend and fellow priest Daniel has an affair with a woman, Louis also questions his celibate existence. Why is he not allowed to have an intimate relationship with another human being? Through a series of events, Louis rebels against the Catholic Church and in 1973 he leaves the monastery. Coincidence brings him into contact with Daikha, a woman who gets to know him in love. In 1999, the brief relationship with Daikha was all but forgotten. Louis has left the church and now lives with his childhood sweetheart Liliane. Then a message arrives that will drastically change Louis's life for the third time.
