"Don't fight the tide. Run it."

From the moment their mother is in prison for using drugs, Reymund Hightower takes care of his ten-year-old brother. Released after seven years, she is determined to rebuild her family. However, Reymund knows better and decides to kidnap his brother. They soon get their mother and her ex-husband after them.
