Ruby Bridges plot
Ruby Bridges is a six-year-old African girl who struggles to survive at a predominantly white school in New Orleans. Ruby is harassed, bullied and even threatened by her classmates. It even gets so bad that she has to appear at school under a police escort. Barbara Henry is a teacher and cares about the fate of young Ruby. Slowly a warm friendship develops between the two.
