Mediocre film for teenage girls with bad acting and young actors without any charisma. Amanda Seyfried still looks nice, although those eyes of hers...

Hugely fake and lavish CGI, a script apparently written in an afternoon, actors cast solely for their looks, a tension they apparently forgot to draw; this was just painfully bad. With a concept like this you could have done something nice, because who doesn't love an atmospherically portrayed fairy tale? But apart from the fact that Seyfried's character wears a red cloak, this has nothing to do with the fairytale. Instead, they try to make it some sort of medieval thriller. Which doesn't work at all. No idea how they managed to get a strong actor like Gary Oldman to do this and then only manage to give him bad material. I occasionally felt vicarious shame. And yes, then the werewolf finally appears for 2 minutes, nice.

No, this is something to quickly forget. 1*.
