Recommendation for Mercy plot

John Robinson is a 14-year-old boy accused of raping and murdering a 12-year-old girl. The ill-gotten evidence is presented by three of John's friends, and by one of the dead girl's friends. The boy is heavily guarded and drugged by the police, hoping to get a confession from him. Despite the assault on his civil liberties, he is found guilty. The film is based on a true event and shows how justice - and the confusion and emotions - take possession of the boy and his immediate environment.
