Pyshka plot
"For the bourgeois she was and she is a prostitute"
In the winter of 1870 -1871 France is invaded by the Prussians. A group of ten people want to escape them, by stagecoach from Rouen to Le Havre - a couple of merchants, a married couple, a couple of noblemen, two nuns, a Democrat and the prostitute Elizabeth Rousset. The journey is immediately made difficult by bad weather and by noon they have covered only a few kilometers. The travelers initially look down on Elizabeth, but then it turns out that she is the only one who has brought a basket of food.
