"Proudly We Served"

Lorenzo DuFau is a war hero. He was a WWII Marine and he helped save the world in 1944. Yet, as a black man, he is ignored in his country. His son thinks he is a failure and he hardly knows his grandson. Until one evening when he finally tells about his experiences on the USS Mason to his grandson Larry and his two school friends, Kevin and Marcus.
