The town has been hit hard by the economic slump of recent years and the two outsiders see opportunities that the locals will accept their business offer. No. I was initially very charmed by the tranquility, the condensed story, and especially the acting. And not just the protagonists.
But towards the end it got a bit too bland and the 'cinematic' scenes (faces with a distorted mirror effect by water, for example) started to get to me. Yes, I get that the protagonist has to solve a moral dilemma and has ended up in a semi-identity crisis. But this is quite a seventies way to emphasize that
That's a shame, and therefore a bit of a mediocre score. But acting is really good!

When it comes to capital gains, manipulations quickly come into play.

Even the good-natured Damon, inherent to his job, wants one for a good cause

throw a lie. At the end of the movie when a certain monkey comes out

the sleeve has come, he seems to want to come to terms with himself that with his

past could identify with the simple population anyway. to which the

eventually speech follows, which for me suddenly puts too much emphasis on

inner conscience and honesty. But Damon turned out to be cut out for this role. Not a

actor who has to have a special expression, but who guarantees thorough

acting. Meanwhile you get a nice picture of a simple community

in rural areas. And Damon and his colleague McDormand also become friends each

with someone of the opposite sex. The film has to rely on the acting anyway.

Simply because the story itself is hardly interesting. found the movie,

everything included, but good, despite it all being rather dry and colorless

happens.

Sympathetic film that was not much appreciated in its own country. Damon and Krasinki wrote the script, based on a story by Dave Eggers (of The Circle fame), which didn't appeal to critics. Damon would direct, became Gus Van Sant. I found the slow pace, the gossip and the non-black and white presentation of the pros and cons of fracking a relief. Most viewers found the twist at the end unlikely. Me too. Couldn't detract from the good acting. Fracking continues to be criticized by environmentalists in the US (including for its methane emissions), but oha, Americans are even less understanding that energy prices have risen when the US is so rich in fossil energy in the soil.
